I suspect my system is trying to tell me that it is old and tired.

Just installed 206.  Wanted to see the window fade thing live.  Well, when I click the center wheel on a thumb, sometimes it pops up, sometimes QU just hangs with an hourglass, and then I get a little box that says Stream Read Error.  Sometimes the hour glass wont go away and I have to abort QU.

I reinstalled 204 - the problem doesn't happen.
Then I reinstalled 206 - and at least so far it has not happened again.

Any ideas on what kind of issues could cause this?

My external hard drive - which contains the folder I was accessing - seems to be in the process of failing.  It's less than a year old (of course I can't find the receipt or anything basic like that).  I have turned it one it's side and right now is working although doesn't sound good.  I am just going to get everything off of it while the getting is good.  Anyway - I think that is why this problem occurred.
