Title: Tips for printing photos with white frame and black border Post by: Wolfgang Exler on March 30, 2014, 09:41:45 PM Hello,
I'm asking for some tipps I have photos taken in 16:9 ratio and want to print them on 13x19 inch paper. The image itself should not be printed to fill up the whole page, I would like to have a small white frame around the image and the remaining border should be printed with black color as this will result in a printed image which looks lake a picture with passepartout. Is there a way to do this with QIMAGE or should I prepare the image outside of QIMAGE e.g. using Photoshop or similar picture editor? Thanks in Advance Wolfgang Title: Re: Tips for printing photos with white frame and black border Post by: Terry-M on March 31, 2014, 08:10:10 PM Hi wofgang,
Quote Is there a way to do this with QIMAGE or should I prepare the image outside of QIMAGE e.g. using Photoshop or similar picture editor? Yes and No!It's very easy to do in QU with borders, it's a basic print function. Place the image in the queue at the size required. Select and open the Print properties. Specify you border dimensions: Border 1 as white and Border 2 as black. Select B or B+ depending whether you want the borders not to increase the print size with B or B+ if the boders are to be added on to the print size. See screen shot below. Terry |
