Since we are all somewhat sequestered, and getting cabin fever, might as well have another shot at TOO QUIET......

I am looking at a feature called ON DECK. Anytime I mention it, I get a HUH?
I must tell you that I use it probably every other day.
Maybe it's my type of printing and setting up?
By definition, ON DECK is the space where the next batter waits his turn.
Let me run a couple of scenarios by you.  I drop off prints at two medical places for the patients to look at and even take home.
Sometimes a visitor will see a print on the wall, and ask for a copy.
I either use Qimage SEARCH or I click on the auto log button and scroll for the job.
OK Found it, but it is one of 4 prints in the job. The other print they asked for must be saved in a different job. As you know, loading a job erases the queue.
Not a problem for ON DECK. I just right click and select add to On Deck. Now to the second job. Found the image. Right click ADD to ON DECK.
Now I have my images clear of the page restrictions. Ready to reset to print.
Use the On Deck as a folder containing assorted images.

Thanks, Roy. It feels better to know that there are some who read my posts.
Bearing in mind that I am cognizant of new people who just got their QU and have not explored, or afraid to explore, and will not hold the love I have for my Qimage. It is so easy to fall back on some lesser quality program just because we are very familiar with it and we don't have to put out any learning effort.
So to all, if I picked an item to discuss, that you know all about, just  bear with it. There are others who forgot, or never knew.

Adding my voice to those who read often/write seldom.  I copy relevant/interesting passages/threads and store them in a bookmark manager (ClipCache Pro, used it for 10+ years); a folder just for Qimage.  (There are probably dozens of tips, tricks, notes of items I'll probably never use, but I browse them occasionally, just in case.)

I was also going to point out the number of views posts such as this one has, but that count is somewhat inflated as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has viewed it at least 3 times.

So, thank you Fred, Mike, Terry, and others who contribute.  It is much appreciated.

Just a small comment to the above quote.
In the Image editor, you can uncheck CROP LOCK and then you can crop to suit your need not worrying about aspect ratio at that time.

ClipCache Pro (CC) is a clipboard history program for Windows.  (Oops, I called it a bookmark manager, but that's not it's strong point.)  I have used it for editing simple text notes, then pasting into other applications (for example, this reply is being composed in it).  But it is not a text editor like Notetab  As seen in the screenshot, it has a tree hierarchy, and Qimage has it's own folder.  If needed, I could add additional folders and/or sub-folders.  It's a random information database, kinda-sorta.

Copied texts go into the primary folder, then get moved as needed, or else edited then pasted elsewhere.  I also use Treepad Plus for some items, especially if I want to add some formatting like bold, italics, different font, whatever; anyway, clips might be posted there.  (I am starting to move some back into CC however, just for convenience.)

I started out years ago (late 1990s) with a similar program called Keynote.  Before that (1988) the first desktop PC program I added was Tornado Notes, which later became InfoSelect.  Needless to say, I've collected and saved an enormous amount of random data and notes.  I think I currently have just over 3100 clips in total; the QU folder only has about 80 clips at the moment, many others moved/pasted elsewhere (incl. moved into the Printing and/or Post Processing folders).

CC lets me copy snippets from almost anywhere, and decide later what to do with it.  Including ignorning or deleting.  My settings are for plain text OEM captures, but there are other formats, just not to my liking (some may remember the RTF dll wars of the 90's and 00's.

But the single most important feature for me is the capture of the source URL for the capture clip.  By right clicking on a particular clip, I can choose to open open my browser (again, see the screenshot).

There are other similar, and excellent, programs for Windows, some freeware, and I've tried many over the years, but I don't remember any of them having easy access to opening the source URL along with the other featuees I like.

And FWIW, I'm just a loyal ClipCache Pro user, I have no other affiliation with the product.
