G'day from DownUnder, Mike.......

Is it possible to run 2 instances of Qimage at the same time? I run 2 Epson wide format printers, and it would speed things up if I could run 2 sessions at once - one for each printer. Is it as simple as having 2 installations installed in two different directories?
Any other suggestions re running concurrent printing sessions would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mike, I can do it, but let's wait for Mike to do a show and tell, in case there's a downside when saving jobs, filters, and setups.

Qimage will stop you from running two instances.  If you try to run a second one, it'll just switch over to the first that is already open.  You don't want two running at the same time because they would share the same cache folders, thumbnail folders, temporary work files, etc. and one would be writing over the work of another.

Bugger.
So do you have any suggestions on how to run two printers concurrently? Or once I hit the 'print' button for one of them and the job has been sent, can I then safely choose the other printer from the dropdown list in Qimage Ultimate and start configuring the next job?

Yes,    Once Qimage has finished creating the print file and progress bar shows that it has been sent to Windows Spooler, Qimage is completely detached. Change printers and treat Qimage as if you just opened it.

** Example: Once the printer has been fed, you can close Qimage, even though the print hasn't printed yet.
