Hi John
I just downloaded 135 and it's good.
Either Mike saw your post or your browser showed a cached copy of the site.
Hope all OK

Thanks Fred.
I have 135 and all is well.
Likely will need one week to prove it.
Once again I appreciate Mike responding with an update to the stability query.

Regards,

It seems the errors, as attached, which I've been plagued with in recent times happen when I start to scroll through folders with something suspect in them. I've isolated two folders which trigger the pointer error, then the access violation which locks up QIU. Other folders I can happily browser through without mishap.
After the freeze, I shut down with Task Manager. When I open again it starts normally without the Reset option. Reset All doesn't help in this instance.
Is there a recommended method to track down bad files which crash the program??

Hi John,
I guess everyone that deals with a lot of files and folder swapping and copying comes across some Windows anomaly.;

Here's my method:
I make a new folder with a folder name Samename 1
Then I copy the images from Samename to sqamename 1 a few at a time.
Perhaps 4,5,6 at a time.
Each sequence is followed up with Opening the new folder in  QU and perusing the thumbs...
(If there's some special scrolling that you do that triggers the error, perform that and you should be able to locate the offender.

In the event that no file trigger the error message from Samename 1, then you might conclude the old (Samename) folder is corrupted.

Give that a try,
Fred

If it's a file corruption problem, you could turn thumbnails off and go to filenames only (via the cheater button at the top).  Then go to that folder and press the spacebar to view suspect images one by one.  Hopefully when you get to the bad image(s), the same error will appear and you'll know which one(s) caused it.

Just to say thanks for the replies and help, but have got nowhere with this one.
The folder is too large to transfer small numbers of files.
It seems errors eventually return in whatever copying and rebuilding I attempt.
It's only a couple of directories with the issue. I think it's all on this end with Windows, maybe.
I have a collection of screenshots of the various errors. I'll learn to live with it and work around it.
