My records indicate that Qimage Ultimate was installed Aug 2012 so as far as the updates go a calendar year isn't up.
I have received the email for other updates but today although the pop up message appears the follow up email doesn't arrive.
I tried the link from the website but that wasn't productive either.
There are no blocking devices and the email address hasn't changed

Since I don't print often the version is QU v2013-105

Or am I incorrect and there is a fee to get the current 114?

Hi Rose,
Mike will check it out in a few hours, and it will all be sorted for you.
No! There is no special fee for any version.

Just to clarify for Mike, "Although the pop up message appears, the follow up email does not"
Do you mean when you click on HELP and ABOUT in QU, ??

The system is automated, so the better the information the quicker it gets checked out.
I am going to reinstall 2013.105 and see it it works..  (If I can find it)  Grin

Thanks,
Fred

Just installed 2013.105, and either method, the big Yellow About circle or clicking the the little reminder updater at the top of the screen works fine.

So we just have to wait for Mike..

Rose,

I checked the server and I can see the emails going out to you: there were four emails sent to you yesterday... no bounces.  So the emails are being sent.  Check your spam/junk folder and if you don't see them, your ISP is blocking (certain) messages to you.  In that case, we'll need a working email address: one that does not block incoming mail.  Just email me with the new address.

Regards,
Mike

Just got off the phone with the server help office. The tech had to do a search on all my not received emails and 'YES'...the ddisoftware.com mail was blocked.
The manner in which their scanning is set up catches some content in the mail which puts it in the blocked section so it never arrives to me.
The tech sent the mail on to me while we were on the phone.
I inquired if I would have to call the tech support EACH time there would be an update and he waffled on that....'not necessarily'Huh??

Getting this incoming address from ddisoftware unblocked wasn't something the tech person could do; it must be a machine automated routine.
I have a gmail address but,  unfortunately, I set it up to route through my regular  hurontel address.

I think I have been through this blockage before and tried another route to contact ddisoftware. Overall its a bit of a pain.
No wonder I don't update often.

Yeah, that's just horrible practice by your ISP.  Do you ever wonder what other emails your ISP has decided to just dump (and not even produce a bounce)?  If I were you, I'd complain to them and tell them that you'd like to receive ALL your email!  I suspect you pay for your internet service like most of us: tell them that for what you pay, you don't want them deciding which emails to deliver and which to throw away!

'Re:  tell them that for what you pay, you don't want them deciding which emails to deliver and which to throw away!'

OH ....excellent point!!!
plus the other comment 'what else is being held back ?' .....on reflection I recalled some valid newsletters that just stopped arriving.

Well....I 'almost' got to the above suggestion when I inquired about the future.....
This is just a poor tech guy who predominantly deals with the 'usual' so if nothing else this was almost a bright moment in his day, I would image. I think I'll get better result if I write directly to the company. You have given me a kick start here <LOL>
This server has globally blacklisted a server in the past so they have a 'strong policy' which can be a good thing as well as a bad thing.

Thanks for the input.
