Title: User defined Paper sizes Post by: Jules on December 02, 2016, 12:26:09 PM Hi All. Sometime since I postsed, but I have been meaning to air these few queries for some time, but haven't had the...time. So,
My first queiry is about custom paper sizes. i love Qimage for the fact that one can position multi images where one wants on the paper. My paper is expensive so I try not to waste any. I always do test prints smaller than the finals. So, when using a 24" roll I like to add all my test prints in and set the length of the paper I need to just exceed the the length of paper I need so it cuts off just below my last row of test prints. To this end I have customised lots of Paper lengths using the User Defined sizes, eg 24 x 6, 24 x 7, 24 x 8, 24 x 12, 24 x 18 etc etc. So once defines and saved i would expect these sizes to appear in order, but the don't. The same goes for the predefined sizes A2, A3, A4 etc. So I have to spend ages running through all the sizes to find the one i want. My question is, why don't these sizes Sort? There are two ways of picking these paper sizes (why I am not sure) one lists in black, one in White. I attch some jpgs to demonstartate my problem. Plus a few other questions while I an here. Why can I not Sort images when two or more are overlapping, very annoying. Why when All the images are on the screen using Optimum does the Spaced then often no work and i have to move each image apart separately? When editing my images on multiple pages how do I move an image back a page ie from page 2 to Page 1 when I know there is a space for it. All the best Jules Title: Can anyone help here? Title: Re: User defined Paper sizes Post by: admin on December 05, 2016, 01:57:34 PM Already there. There is an option to sort the paper sizes by size in Edit, Preferences... starting in 2017.111.
Also, when you overlap prints, the only way you can do that is to set the page to "Freehand" placement: that's why you can't sort after manually arranging prints.
