Just a suggestion, since I imagine that most of the people downloading a new version are customers, how about making the default to the "create a desktop icon", No instead of yes?

I think if you set "no" on any install, that choice is remembered for next time.

Hi Terry.  I've set it to NO on every install I've done since starting with Q (about 8 years ago?) and it always comes up with YES checked as the default.  It's certainly not a big deal but I thought I'd mention it.

I have never changed it, the new desktop icon just replaces the previous one. I use the icon to boot the program so I happy with it there. Smiley

I start QU from the task bar and keep my desktop clean.  I guess that's why I have to "click" NO with each update.

Thanks Mike-

Saves me a lot of time not having to go back into the batch editor to be sure that I really did remove that pimple!

Like rachlinent, I have to remember to choose no desktop icon for every update for as long as I can remember.  I like to launch Qimage using the quick launch toolbar in my Windows 7 -64. Works better than double clicking any desktop icon, and my desktop is always clean.
