2011.100     10/20/10

Priority: Low

v2011.100 is the initial release of Qimage Ultimate 2011.  Changes from Qimage Ultimate 2010 include:

  • Color management engine: A major update to the color management engine ensures optimal quality and compatibility when using all the latest available monitor, printer, and color space ICC profiles.
  • New Chrome 2011 skin: The default skin for Qimage Ultimate 2011 is a more concise skin with neutral colors and controls that are easier to access.
  • Improved thumbnail/raw cache builder: Optimized background process priority to eliminate "CPU hogging" and improve overall performance.

Thanks Mike,

Installed the new version on my Win 7 64bit and QU hangs when starting up and displaying the large yellow QU icon. If abort and re-start QU I get the "normal start" question prompt then a warning that the printer setup files (or something like that) have been corrupted.

Am currently reverting to 2010.127. Hopefully this is just a glitch in my system.

No other reports of problems.  Running Win7 x64 here too.  Would suggest that you make sure all your drivers are up to date: video and printer in particular.

Thanks for fast reply Mike.

The drivers are all up to date.

Problem solved. Unknown to me, a remote printer had dropped off the network. What a relief!

QU saves diagnostic info when the process ends early.  So give it a try again and if it stops at the Q logo, kill the process.  The very next time you start it, hold down both the Ctrl and Shift keys and click the icon to start it.  It will then display the diagnostic info.  Please let me know what it says and I may be able to advise further.

Mike,

Does this mean that an update of Profile Prism is on its way?

Great! I'm about to do another round of calibrations so I'll hold off a while.
