Im a happy user of Qimage Studio. I don't use thumbnails, so in my thumbnail window, I turn off their display, and got a File List.

We'll I bought Qimage Ult and, yes you can turn off thumbnails, but there is NO file list. Just unrezzed thumbnails. This is not wokring for me,
cuz my directory has over 1000 images, so I gotta scroll big time to select each image.

Am I missing something?? How can I get File List mode (not thumbnails) in the lower left frame?
Help

James,
Qimage Ultimate has no filename only mode for thumbnails.
It, instead, features a rapid approach to both refining and developing Raw images as well as special processing of any type images using Tone Targeted Sharpening, and other new tools.
Qimage Ultimate depends on the user being able to see the thumbnail images and to click the little plus sign to add to the queue, and to select one or many thumbnails to refine and develop raw images.
Working with filenames only especially with 1000 images would be counter productive to the system.
Especially for printing, you need to see what you are adding to the queue.

All you have to do is split the 1000 images into three folders.

Mike answered a similar query last September, and gave his reasons, see here:

Thanks Terry, for digging up that reply so I didn't have to look it up.  Smiley  I wanted to mention another tip too.  If you have 1000 images, even if they are in 25 different subfolders, that's OK: Qimage Ultimate can build all 1000 in every subfolder while you are away.  Just set it to work while you are gone or when you have some time and then you get the best of both worlds.  See the "Thumb Builder" menu item for the option to build a whole tree of thumbnails.  I don't know of any other tools that allow you to just display just file names where thumbnails are normally displayed.  That's because the thumbnails are an integral part of the interface.  QU builds thumbs pretty efficiently and with the offline-building mode where it can build an entire tree (or whole drive) while you are away, you should be able to work with real thumbnails now instead of shooting blind.
