v2012.220    07/17/12

Priority: Low

v2012.220 includes:

  • Eliminated the delay when switching folders while raw photos (thumbnails or cache) are being built.
  • Fixed an inaccurate count in the number-of-prints column from the job save/recall dialog.
  • Improved the "Rebuild selected thumbs" function so position in the thumbnail grid is maintained (no longer scrolls to the top).

Wow Mike,
I barely see the change delay when I change folders during a thumb/cache build. It used to wait for 4 cache files to finish (I have a quad core CPU). Now it just pops to the new folder.
This is great. No more searching from folder to folder and getting stuck waiting.

I know it isn't etiquette to post a reply to oneself, but I found something else new that is really neat.
Mike slipped one in on us.
Didn't mention it, but it is just what I needed.

When I go to the Utilities menu and manage thumbs and cache, and I want to clear out some files that just take up space, I usually click on one of the time options; Delete if more than 3 months old, or 6 months old.... like that.
I sometimes have mixed images with regard to when they were shot in one folder. The older ones in the folder cache were dumped.
Now that command to delete cache and thumbs older than.... will ignore any folders that appear in the History drop down list that stores the recently accessed folders.
So I can do a delete all thumbs older than 3 months, but it wont touch the images in the history list.

Just what I wanted. Sometimes, I am working on an order for some repeat prints from 6 months ago. I keep that folder in History, and it will stay fresh!

Zowie, I like this stuff!

I've been messing about with old folders of raw images and discovered that feature too, I like it lot  Grin

That is really helpful too. I've messing about with new camera profiles and jumping around to different folders and not waiting for a folder to finish cache building, it's almost instant when I change to another folder to try a new profile.
These are apparently minor changes but do a make a significant difference when using the program, thanks Mike  Wink
