v2014.208    Apr 3, 2014

Priority: High

v2014.208 offers size-on-the-fly photo mats: use "Optimal" or "Optimal/spaced" placement to auto-arrange.  Bug fixes include borders printing the wrong color on some printer drivers.

No kidding everyone!
This is the baby that changes borders/mats in the same way that Deep Focus Sharpening revolutionized the Unsharp Mask.

From now on, I will be doing all my borders, (even or uneven) as Photo Mats!!

Just remember one thing. SELECT!  Select the item first to which you wish to add a border or edit a border.

SELECT the underneath mat if you want to drag a pile of mats/borders and an image that are stacked on it.

Please  check out the NEW video at the Learning Center.

Remember SELECT is the key word.
Bearing that in mind, there's one other item to point out.
You can select an inside mat, and add a new border/mat to that...
See screen snaps.

You can see in 071 that I want to put a new border between the blue one and the green one.
I have selected the BLUE one because I want the new border to appear outside of that, but inside the green one.

See 072
We now have a white one between the Blue and the Green.
.... Easy does it... and no mine fields...!!

Do you remember the movies, Behind the Green Door, Debbie Does Dallas, and Deep Throat?

Nothing!   I just asked if you remembered them, that's all!

Thanks for the kind words...
I have seen Qimage grow from a toddler to a mature adult.
Mike's enthusiasm spills over on to me, and I get excited when good features are added that aid in achieving real quality.
The real accolades should and must go to "our" Mike. It's his efforts and unyielding aim at perfection and simplicity combined, that makes Qimage and Mike unique.
I use the expression "our" Mike with intent to point out why he's our Mike.
He is here all the time; for us; either to respond to a need, or fix something instantly, or even explain aspects of digital imaging, color management.

... and we don't have to rent him by the month either!!
