v2014.233 adds the ability to recall print unclog settings for multiple printers.
Ok, this version puts some icing on the cake/.
I'll give you step by step how to set up, and after that; Viola!
1) You click FILE and select UNCLOG
2) Click on the
set up button when the dialogue box opens.
You are now looking at your current printer driver, but you are looking at it through a different window.
By changing the settings in the driver via the INPUT button, you allow Qimage to remember your original printer setup that was there before, and restore it when you are finished with Unclog.
3) Locate the printer on which you wish to run UNCLOG. Set it for 8.5 x 11 or A2 paper, good quality, No Color Adjustment and plain paper.
4) Here's the "icing" part.... When you OK yourself out of the driver, a new box will open asking if you want to save your UNCLOG setup.
It has given your setup a basic name.... but you can name if you wish.
EXAMPLE: I have 2 blacks in my Epson R 2000 printer; a matte black and a Glossy / photo Black.
See screen snap... 076. I named my Unclog setup by adding MK to the name which indicates it was made for MATTE BLACK.
5) Say yes and OK to the prompts to Save.
(My next step, because I have Glossy Black too, is to go back into the SETUP BUTTON into the driver and change to Glossy paper, again, set to No color management, good quality, 8.5 x 11, and OK out of the driver.)
This time, the save box pops up and I name this one with a PK (accepted name for Glossy Black)
See 077 screen snap.
This is a one time set up for each printer.
Also just a side note, you can see that I have unchecked Green and Blue in my UNCLOG set up box.
My printer doesn't have those cartridges so I save a bit of time not looking for one. Qimage will remember that too.
USING UNCLOG THE EASY WAYFILE, Select UNCLOG.
Click the drop down arrow as shown in 078, and select the printer and the type of ink configuration you wish to unclog.
You can click PRINT. and Unclog will go to work, or you can click Queue, if you like to examine the colors and then click your regular print button to finish the Unclog run.
(If you wish to change your mind and print later, and the target is in the queue, simply Clear the queue, or red minus button the target out of the queue.)
Hope some of this clears up the mystery around the new kid on the block!
