v2016.113   Aug 16, 2015

Priority: Low

v2016.113 adds command line switch -ss to allow opening qimage.exe -ss to start the unclog scheduler on startup, plus some minor UI refinements.

If you want it to start when Windows starts, you basically just copy the icon off your desktop and past it into:
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You can then right click on the shortcut in that folder, select "Properties" and on the "Shortcut" tab, add the -ss at the end after the Qimage.exe, for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Qimage-U\Qimage.exe -ss (with a space between Qimage.exe and the -ss option).

Note: for the option to work, you must have already set up a schedule in QU of course.  As long as there's an established schedule, the "-ss" command line switch will start the schedule.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike. I am running v2016.127 and am having problems getting the -ss to work. When I follow your instructions and try to apply the -ss, I get an error message saying ; The name 'C:\Program Files(x86)\Qimage-U\Qimage.exe -ss' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct. I have also started a schedule before trying this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You probably just missed the space in "Program files (x86)" but it's best to just get the latest version as none of that is needed anymore.  You can just click "File", "Print Unclog Pattern", click the "Schedule" button, and then check the box to start the scheduler when Window starts.  The manual method is no longer needed.

Mike

If I had access to the new version , I wouldn't be asking. Maybe at one point I will repurchase qimage, but the -ss command doesn't work on v2016.127. Thanks for your response anyway.
