v2016.140   Feb 28, 2016

Priority: High

v2016.140 is a critical fix for the printer ICC profile becoming inactive after printing multiple (or large) prints.

Thank you for this fix! I had to install an old version after I have blamed the printer, the OS etc and tons of wasted paper roll.I hope it's a permanent fix.

Greetings,

The last version I was running was v2014.216.  That version ran very stable.  Recently I updated to v2016.139 and started having messages about incompatable or
corrupt icc profile.  I also random squares of color over the images I printed.  Today I updated to v2016.140 and still have the same problems.

I am running Windows 7 on Lenovo D20 with 24 gb of self correcting ram.  My profiles are made with i1 Photo 2.

Now I am up and running the 2014.216 version.

Please help.

Regards,
David Lorenz

David,
That particular issue was supposedly addressed and fixed in version 140.
Could you please provide more detail about what you print, what printer, what paper, what sizes, and how many prints per run?

Thanks,
Fred

Fred,

The random squares of color over the images occurred while printing to an Epson 7800 on Lexjet Fine Art
Textured paper.  I lost a 20 x 25 print and then started watching the previews to cancel prints with the
squares.  It was happening on small and large sizes.  All the prints were one image and one print.

Kind Regards,

David

Thank you for answering.
Last question... are you positive that you installed version 140.... (By the way, version 141 will be out very shortly.

Fred

PS I just ran a huge job through a 7900 (closest I can come to your model)
Not a whisper of a problem.
Check to see that you are running 140, and might as well install 141 even though there are no changes to the printing code.

Have you tried the new 142 version which cured David's issue?
May I also ask, What processor model is running is running in your computer?

Hi Silviu
I have the same processor but mine says 4770    Nice machine..

Just to clarify, after installing 142, has the problem of the squares occurred?

Did 142 clear the issue, or you cannot tell yet as it happened only once before?

Hi Silviu,
There were two issues.
One had to do with Printer icc being opened out of sync on some machines.
The second problem was caused by long past versions of windows that could not handle in programming for multithreads.
That is why I asked you what version of Windows and what processor.
You should be fine now.
Mike made QU work even with older versions of windows, as it should  have, as promised.
So all should be well.
