v2017.122   Apr 19, 2017

Priority: Low

2017.122 offers minor fixes such as retaining PPI (embedded size) when converting images.

Mike

Things are interesting!
When you first released your new QI plugin and I installed it and QI 2017-121, it found my Photoshop 2017CC but could not find my Lightroom 2017CC!

Then you released QI Plugin v105, and it found everything (incl Lightroom 2017CC).

Now with your latest update, I installed QI 2017-122 and then proceeded to install Plugin v107 (in that order), and now it finds LR2017CC, but, cannot find Photoshop 2017CC!

Maybe Plugin v108?

Thanks for letting us know.  We'll look at the changes between 105 and 107 to see what is going on.

We're still working to make the installer work on all versions of PS/LR and each installer version is an improvement in general but it's proving to be challenging because we are finding that registry keys aren't always where they should be and some versions (of PS/LR) appear to do things a bit differently.  It seems to work on about 99% of all installations but for the few that have some yet-to-be-identified install state, we provide the manual installation as a fallback.  You can always use that to install any version if you run into trouble and it only takes a minute or two longer than the auto-installer.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks for the response Mike - The fallback is valuable but, I was just surprised after it worked in 105 that 107 failed and thought you might like to know.
BTW - your Print Unclog (after one printout of cyan only) just restored my R2880 cyan channel after it failed the nozzle check!

Definitely appreciate the report!  We checked the differences between the 105 and 107 plugin installers and there were no changes to the Photoshop install portion: they are identical in 105 and 107.  So I don't understand how 105 could have detected/installed the plugins for PS but 107 doesn't.  Must be something really odd like a difference in the state of your machine (anti-virus software interference is a possibility I suppose).

If they bring back The Twilight Zone show, this might be a good plot for a new episode.  Cheesy

Mike - Maybe Rod Serling heard you!

QI 123 with PI 108 installed in both PSCC and LRCC.
