I've read somewhat similar threads here; however, I'm currently without resolution.

All .pngs created with Gimp 2.10 and having transparent backgrounds generate read errors in Qimage Ultimate. They display properly in all other graphic apps on my laptop.

Is this a known problem with an effective solution? If not, are there other graphic apps available that do produce .pngs with transparency that are compatible with  Qimage Ultimate?

Thanks in advance.

I just used Gimp 2.10 and exported PNG's with a transparent background and I can't find a problem: they all read without any issue in Qimage.  I tried every setting I could think of in the Export As dialog, but maybe you should post a screen shot of the Export As dialog to show which options you have selected.  I tried about a dozen different combinations of settings and they all worked.

Sigh!!

Apparently, my initial method for creating the .pngs was creating an issue. I used a simpler technique this time around. As best I can tell, the "export as" attributes were identical to those used during the first go-round. However, this time, the image displays without issue.

Mike, sorry to have bothered you. However, I'm delighted to have the issue resolved.
