By the way, I guess no one mentioned that starting with version 2022 version 109, you can update your Qimage to the latest  version anytime and No Vaccination required.

I want to thank Mike for going above and beyond the call of duty with regard to customer service.  There has been a bug in LibRaw that incorrectly parsed raw image files from the Fuji S9000 (and I suspect other 9000-series of this camera).  It's what has prevented me from further updating QU since 2020 when I first discovered the problem and I have had to resort to using QU 2018.113 ever since then.  I recently re-contacted Mike about the problem and he explained that the problem was with LibRaw itself, but took the time to "fix" the problem and incorporate it into the 2022.109 release.  I can't thank him enough for doing this!  I can now enjoy the improvements to QU that have ensued since the 2018.113 release and I bought a lifetime license as a result.  Forty bucks is a small price to pay for such superb customer service and his personal efforts to solve a problem for what is likely effect a very small proportion of QU users.

Hi Mike. Will be very nice if Ad and remove folders from history will be independent from save and recall settings, like use to be before. I  start Qimage all the time from my  specific settings, what i use the most, i understand i can save that folder or folders to my most used settings and recall later, but when i recall different settings, i have to add that specific folders again, is not big deal, but i think is more convenient, just recall any settings and use folders from history, instead of add that folder, when you recall different settings . Thank You .

I read this probably 10x and still can't figure out what you are asking.  Can you give an example?

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike . For EXAMPLE, when you switch from one setting to another, this affect folders you work whit ,even you save them to history, they Disappear, let say you start print on glossy paper and decide  to print on canvas from same folder ,and recall settings for canvas printing ,then you have to add same folder again to history, because the Disappear.

Still not following. You're recalling printer settings? If I recall printer settings, it has no effect on folder history. I recall (open) tons of printer setups, jobs, etc. Doing that does not change your folder history.

OK.  I can't address or explain that since I've never seen it nor heard it mentioned.  There is no mechanism for loading settings to affect the folder history because folder history is not a part of any saved settings: it's a real-time program setting only.  I even talked to Fred about this today.  He and I are both constantly loading settings and jobs to test different scenarios.  Neither of us have ever seen recalling settings or jobs affect the folder history in any way.

Since folder history is not even stored in settings, something else has to be going on (beyond loading settings) to make a change to the folder history.

Mike i found why this happen . Try this.... add a folder and close program, press shift before close Qimage, open Qimage again and folder disappear, i always start from my most used setup . What i do before close Qimage just save my most used set up whit particular folders i need to use later, ...but if i just press shift like you suggest before exiting qimage to stay on my set up next time, and then reopen qimage again, folder disapear.

Right, you can't pick and choose which settings to save.  They either all save or none.  If it is important to get a new folder in the history and you are going to be doing other things later you don't want to save, just add the folder(s) first, exit QU normally (without the shift key), and open it back up to do the rest.

Mike

In 2022.110 you can hold the Ctrl key instead of the Shift key when exiting: that will do what you were asking and save only the folders and no other settings.
