Hello All.

Is it possible to create a clear custom embossed water mark 'cut out'?

I have PS Elements 7 and instruction book for PSE 4 and am struggling.

No problem creating text and © in any colour, but clear embossed has defeated me.

I do believe that Terry can make those. If I recall correctly, he has a helpful little program for that.

Would you clarify what you mean by this - "clear embossed"; maybe show a link to illustrate it?
Do you want a "signature/copyroght text" in one corner of the image or something larger across the whole image?

The emboss would look just like the attached image.

To explain - We have a request to place a water mark on images on our club website which I run and I think a QI cut out is the best way to mark images to discourage plagiarism and keep consistant tidy presentation.  I would probably need three of four with various placements to avoid faces etc.

I am still in the messing about stage. I have got some way to creation with Affinity - 2nd attachment.  That is a first attempt at anything serious with Affinity. 

Thanks for any help, must close down now SWMBO has just called.  Back again later today.

Hi Jeff,
Looks like you are nearly there. You could do a very simple one in QU using a plain black image with some grey text with a shadow.
See attached, not as smart as your version though! NB> my version cutout needed to be a tif, jpg did not work very well

I have got there in the end, I am not that good with PS Elements and such, used to be able to use Elements 4 in XP days.

So went the long way round and installed 6 watermarking progs.

After much experimation settled on one and created the required embossed transparent watermark, infact 3 versions - nil transparent, 50% and 75%  -  works well and not to intrusive.

Easy now to  create additions versions, and simple and fast to add to images in QI  save for web. and upload to site host.

Congratulations.
I looked at the TIFF and see RB CAMERA CLUB.
That is the camera club from the coal mines in Birmingham. What does the R stand for?

Download it and use it as a Cutout! All will be light then.

RB Camera Club. -  Ruston Bucyrus  -  defunct Lincoln UK engineering firm building excavators.  All that's left is the Camera Club.

Selected as worth using -

Ais Watermark.  but eliminated as apparently like RB defunct even their payment was system was kaput and the trial ver. had a intrusive watermark the could not be clined out.

TSR Watermark 3.6.03  this I found usable without too much help file consultation.
With this prog I have a blank 1000x1000 black.tiff as a template and then bang the watermark on this and save to QI cut out folder.

Most difficult part is giving a suitable cut out file name and keeping track of same.  This is an age related attention deficit syndrome.

You experts could achive same with PS. PS Elem. and what have you, but I find them difficult.  ?syndrome
