Title: What's with the thumbs?
Post by: MelW on September 27, 2011, 11:17:33 AM
What is the triggering mechanism that causes QU to rebuild thumbs?  Just wondering what's going on.  Since installing QU 200, I notice that when I open a folder, most of the time QU is rebuilding all of the thumbs, even in recently used folders, including one folder where 104 had just built the thumbs a couple of days ago. Obviously not a big problem - just surprised to see it happen.

Mel,
Starting with .200, Qimage Ultimate has new revised code to smooth the way into the future, supporting other languages and allowing for larger file sizes, and much more.

It is smart enough to rebuild your thumbs for the new Qimage Ultimate version 200 +

Enjoy it. It gets better every day.

Fred -

Thanks - that makes sense and based on the other info - I should have figured that.

Yeah, 200+ will typically rebuild most thumbs once (as you visit folders).  After the first visit though, things should be back to normal.
