Ok Fred,
That is the page I have built.
It is A3+.
The larger print in the middle is about 8cm by 12cm
All the others are 3cm square.
How many? About 150.
Orientation locked.
Placement mode is Optimal as I wanted them as tight as possible.EDIT. I think I was probably using Compact.
I have let QU crop them into square images.
I started by loading the larger image.
I then loaded all the small square ones.
There was more than one page could take so I ended up with a partially filled page two.
The only way I could move the larger image from the top left corner was by going into Freehand.
This then forced some more of the smaller ones onto page two.
As the images came up in filename order it bunched similar images together. I started by moving some around on page one.
I then wanted to include some of the page two images. This is where I hit problems.
I picked a page two image using CTL X.
I picked the bottom right (in my view the 'last' image) on page one and it had a blue border to show it had been selected. I then did Paste Before with CTL U.
Sometimes I saw an image somewhere near the top left with a blue outline. If I clicked and dragged it I found I was not dragging the new image - but dragging the original. Sometimes I saw no blue outline at all so I have no idea where my pasted image could have gone.
Terry says I should not work Freehand - but if I turn Freehand off on page one my images cease to cluster around the large one.
I can see something has just been posted whilst I am writing this. I'll post this and see what has just come up.
EDIT. After lunch I will look at the pages again and use Optimal. I hope that will then let me add new images - but you can see that my A3+ page is not 'full'. There is space at the bottom.
Bye
Tony
