Working with DNG files in QU
«

I am thinking of converting my Oly .orf files to dng in Lightroom Classic. Is there any difference in how QU will render the dng file vs the original raw file?
I am particularly concerned if the lens corrections necessary for my m43 lenses will be applied.

Technically everything should still work but remember that DNG is an Adobe abomination (like the PSD file format where Adobe only offers partial support to third parties). It's kind of like using Google Translate to translate from Japanese to English. A great tool but you end up with a product where something may have gotten lost in the translation. Is there a reason you are doing this? My own personal opinion is it should be fine, but definitely never get rid of your original raws!

Mike

Thanks for the info, you have only reinforced my observations over the past 15 years. I tried on two occasions for a week or two and then abandoned.
Most, maybe 95% are Olympus raw files and they are going through trying times. I am only considering my alternatives. My main concern is the application of the lens corrections necessary for my m43 lenses. My present camera is OM-D E-M1.
