Coming back to Qimage after a few months away. I've just ordered the current version of Qimage Studio (having used the trial version for a few weeks). Now I need to print a target from which a printer profile will be made, so I need to assure that there is "no color management" from within Qimage. I've printed the target from Photo Shop CS4 and I know how to turn off color management there. I also know how to turn it off in the Epson R1800 printer driver. Can someone point me to the instructions on how to assure that Qimage does no color management while I print the target?

Thanks - Bill Hansen

Sure Bill. Easy as pie in Qimage.
Go to FILE, RECALL, click the "J" button for JOB, and you will find an entry called Q Printer Target Job setuo.
It will either be the first entry or the last, depending on which way you are sorting.
Select that, and click OPEN.
Qimage will have placed all the correct settings for you to print a target properly.
The driver should be set to No Color Management or No Color Adjustment whichever terminology is being used.
You should be all set now.

Attached is the correct screen snap of Qimage Job Properties, bottom right of main screen. This is what you see when the Q Printer Target Job has been recalled.

With a thank you to Terry for the assist, I would also like to add that Qimage goes into a CUSTOM/Original Size mode thereby making the target print the exact size it is supposed to be to match the requirements if the profile creating software.

Fred and Terry - Many, many thanks for this. It was, as Fred wrote, easy as pie. BTW - I have to ask - is the the same Fred A (if so, I remember your last name very clearly) who's been a mainstay of Qimage ever since the first version? That takes me back some years, but your name is a very welcome sight.

After a switch to Windows 7, which occurred at the same time I received a new version of Spyder3Print (I'm a beta tester) and at the same time I had to send my beloved Epson R1800 in for repair, I've been unable to print photos at home. I think all the problems are now solved, and I'm eager to get back to making my own prints. Smugmug has done a capable job, but I flatter myself to claim that my own prints are better.    Wink

... and I recognized you too, Bill.
Glad you are back!
The only thing is that I am a lot older than before.   Sad
