Title: Double-byte Asian Characters in IPTC Post by: JayL on May 24, 2010, 03:33:27 PM I just discovered that QI does not recongnise info from IPTC data that written in Korean.

If I put image file name in Korean letter, QI prints file name in Korean but not IPTC data. Sort of found a solution but it is not really helping me as I have to rename over 600 scanned images. ;D I have read IPTC standard and found following under FAQ: Can I use IPTC standards even if English is not used at my company? Of course! All IPTC standards are designed to be independent of any specific language. I just tested it, and I renamed a bunch of images to the EXIF date the pictures were taken including Year, Month, Day, Hour, minute and second, if that will help. Or there are other renaming solutions to choose from if you don't like the EXIF route. Fred |
