Feature request: ESC to stop thumb loading

Hi MIke-
When I start moving down directories AND if I slightly pause on a large one, the thumbs start loading and lock me there until at least the visible screen is full.
Is an ESC key function possible to abort loading? Just like does when printing.
Thanks,
Seth

Seth,
In the menu at the top of the screen, there's a "Thumb Builder" item, click that and then the red button. That does it.
Terry.

Sounds like you might be using an old version. The latest version does not make you wait until the entire first page if thumbs is built: you can change folders at any time. You may have to wait until the thumbnail builder is at a breaking point (at most, 4 more thumbs) but you won't have to wait for the whole first page to build.

I am on .266. Sometimes it can take almost a minute for the first four or so to build. Don't know why. It may be part of that Vista "not responding" anomoly, although that rarely comes up.
It is an Intel quad core machine with 4GB ram. It is SATA II with the cache NOT on the system drive. The graphics card is coming off of PCI-e slt with memory at 256. I don't get i either. It should just flash to the screen. (Of course, PS has it's own 120GB swap disk and it stutters into not responding when opening some large files.)
