Title: Gallery wrap question Post by: Betty on August 04, 2010, 11:49:38 PM Please forgive me but this question is a bit off topic. I have completed an 16 x 20 painting and now need to increase it's size 2 inches for a gallery wrap canvas. I don't print these myself, but the file goes to my printer.
Any suggestions on how to mirrow those additional 2 inches? I've tried cloning, selection and new layer, but not really happy with the results. Could QI (studio) do this and let me save it as another file with the new size of 18 x 22? Baring that, anyone got any suggestions, or a good action? Qimage Studio has got a mirrored and extruded? type of wrap, and fold marks built in. Tricky to use, sometimes, but once mastered it is pretty good. If you use photoshop, Ernst Dinkla (who post's here) has some plugins which give more options wrt the type of wrap, and could well be easier to apply. Best wishes, Ray P.S. if you only want to try it, then Qimage Ultra has the gallery wraps, too, and the demo is good for a couple of weeks, which may be a cheaper option if this is only for a few prints now. :-) Betty Title: Re: Gallery wrap question Post by: Betty on August 08, 2010, 02:32:42 AM I worked out my own need in PhotoShop. :-) It really wasn't hard to do at all, just took a little time to make a selection of part each edge, move it to the edge, and then flip it to mirror the painting.
