Title: Image Read Error Post by: richard cooper on July 28, 2009, 04:58:49 PM I have composed several panoramic images and qimage gives me a "Image Read Error".
These are TIF files of about 160MB. How do I build thumbs or will qimage do it? I am using the studio ed. Thanks Richard Title: Re: Image Read Error Post by: Fred A on July 28, 2009, 07:40:47 PM Please see the attached screen snap and resave the TIF according to the parameters shown there.
Qimage is not bothered by that file size. It needs to see a TIF saved according to standards. Let us know please, if this fixes it. Fred Title: Re: Image Read Error Post by: richard cooper on July 29, 2009, 12:43:04 AM Fred, I followed your instructions.
But I did 1 TIF file and 1 JPEG file. Only the JPEG file appears as a thumb but not the TIF file. However, both files will opens in the full page editor. Richard Title: Re: Image Read Error Post by: Fred A on July 29, 2009, 01:08:30 AM The JPG has no bearing on the problem.
If you are certain that the settings I posted were followed, then make sure there are no alpha channels saved. I think that spoils the save too. I wish it was a smaller file. I would ask you to send it to me. Thanks Richard I get that very infrequently (mostly no problem) when I send very large TIFFs to Qimage from Nikon Capture NX2. I rectify the problem by removing the problem image from the queue and forcing a refresh/rebuild of the thumbs. PETER Title: Re: Image Read Error Post by: Fred A on July 29, 2009, 09:42:27 AM [quote
