Title: Installling Qimage
Post by: na goodman on July 13, 2010, 06:47:27 PM
Ok, so my demo version is almost over and I purchased  the SE edition. My question is do I remove the demo version first before I download and install the SE version. If I do remove the demo, I think I just right click and say remove program - correct? A big thank you in advance, for all your help.

There's not usually any need to do that with Qimage, just "install over the top".

No - we'll make you a PC person yet  ;)
To remove a program, from the Windows Start button, use Control Panel and for Vista, (I seem to remember you have Vista), choose Programs find whatever program you wish to remove on the list, select and choose Remove.

Ok, you made me laugh - making me a pc person. I'll install right over the top. And you remembered correctly, I do have Vista (vista business). So, as a pc person can you tell me why the little laptop doesn't wake up sometimes after it has been sleeping with the lid closed. I'm going to download right now and install. The excitement continues. I think I figured out why it wasn't waking up. See, I'm getting there.

Thanks, it installed just fine. I do have one file that shows that read error when it is in my "hot folder" located on the desktop but the minute I pull the file out and put it on the desktop, QI reads it just fine if I drag it to the que. It doesn't read it if it is in the folder. Actually, this little pc isn't that bad. See, I am keeping an open mind. And, if you every have a mac question, fire away. I will say this, the artist was thrilled with her prints.
