I have a couple of questions - the first pertains to job logging. I have it set to manual in the prefrences but everytime I close QI it reverts to automatic. Is there a reason it doesn't keep the manual setting I have chosen.

This is not happening here. I would like you to download the latest version, and install, paying attention to where QSE is being installed.

Are other items being remembered like page size, print size, which folder of thumbs is showing on the main page?
The only possibility that I can think of is that when QSE is being closed and the ini files are being saved, yours may be saved in an incorrect folder.

If that looks normal, then open the UTILITIES menu in Qimage, and click Migrate Copy Application data.
That should fix it.

The rendering intent can easily be selected by clicking on the little blue ball just to the left of PrTR ICC under job properties, lower right area of the main screen.
When the dialogue box opens, you will see rendering intent choices and a place for a check mark.

I do have the current version of Qimage (I think) 2010.209. If I go to migrate should I just pick the log folder. Also, how do I go about if I have to update or redownload QI? Something I have not needed to do yet. Thanks for your help. I did remember where to find the rendering intent right after I posted. Aren't you surprised at how well I'm getting along with my little pc and QI. You can tell by you haven't heard from me everyday. Thanks again as always for your informative and prompt help.

Actually, I miss you!  :-)

Just open the Utilities drop down menu from the Qimage main screen, (This has nothing to do with job logging specifically, but has to do with everything that Qimage saves on closing, plus things you create and save manually, like printer setups, jobs or settings.... etc).
Once you click Migrate and it finished, you forget about it after that. Qimage will be able to find your saved files after you migrate.

Ok, I did it. I'll close QI in a minute and reopen it to see if it saved my settings. I just sent another job. Thanks, I've missed you too.

Assuming the printing is in the margin and not across the face of the print, it is likely you have a checkmark in the INFO box, located in the same area where those blue balls are found. Lower right area of the screen in Job Properties.

Right again. If I could send a prize thru email I would. Thank you. Somehow I must have checked it. So, how do I upgrade if a update comes out. And how do you re install QI if I had to change computer or something.  I guess I'm just not used to it on the pc side. Although, I did just install Colorburst Rip on an Epson GS6000. Now, there's a big boy of a printer!

No problem; not to even think about it. New installations have no previous files that need to be migrated.
You might need to COPY folders from the old computer to the new one. All going to the same folders as you have now.
If you get a new computer, yell for help. We are always listening for you :-) Cheesy
As for updates/upgrades to the current Qimage that is running, you already set it correctly for any future installs.
The migrate fixed it for all time.
