Title: Multiple Copies Post by: na goodman on July 21, 2010, 04:49:48 PM Ok, here's an easy one - I hope. If I want to print multiple copies (I'm on roll paper) of the same image do I pick copies in the print driver or thru QI. I also have a question and this is possible a windows thing. I have made a "hot folder" on the desktop that I put my images from the mac to be used with QI. I then made folders within this folder for my various clients. QI does not see within the folders. But, I can still just open a folder and drag it to the Q. Would this be ok to do. It seems to be working. And one more question. Are jobs stored somewhere so that I can recall them or do I somehow have to save them to recall them. Ok, so it was more than one question. Sorry. One a positive note all is well in printing land with my little pc and Qimage.

If I want to print multiple copies (I'm on roll paper) of the same image do I pick copies in the print driver or thru QI They will both work. If you select multiple copies in the driver, then Qimage loads one file to print. (Fastest loading and print start) If you want multiple copies from Qimage, you must load the image that many times. (slower print start) There is one downside to the multiple copies in the driver. Qimage's auto print log will show you made one print when you really made multiple copies by selecting that after it left Qimage. For me, I prefer the beauty of being able to recall how many prints I made for Jane Dough! Ok, so it was more than one question. Hi The way I handle jobs is to set Edit>Preferences>Job Logging>Job File Naming to 'Manual', you get prompted for a meaningful name after each job. You the access the files in the Job Folder by using File>Open Automated Job Log - there is a search facility. You can also click the 'J' button in the 'Open' dialog box. As Fred said, if you are printing multiple copies it is much faster to set the number in the printer driver, but if you want to save the number in the Job File set it in QI. That's all I need for printing for my customers. If my requirements demand a named JOB, then use SAVE, "J" button, and name your job. That's what makes Qimage so great! Customize to suit.
