Hi to all, this is my first post and have many questions.  If I should post in the wrong topic, please direct me elsewhere. 

My first question is in regard to Epson driver and Qimage.  I have searched the posts and have not found the exact reference.  When I first purchased my 9880 I had a terrible time getting my large prints on roll paper to be the correct size.  They were always about .50 to 1" too short.  I finally managed to get a polite Epson tech who told me to set paper size to user defined as:  width = roll width, and length = length of desired print + 1 inch.  For the most part this has worked fine. 

My question is does this still apply when printing from Qimage?  When I set up the printer driver do I include the 1"? .

Hi Smiling Dog, welcome to the forum.
I'm not an expert on big printers but knowing something about how Qimage works, I'm pretty sure the answer is "yes".
Qimage does not "control" the driver but uses data from it.
Qimage gets it's page size,/printable area and "native" resolution data from the driver and is what you see above the page preview on the main screen.

It's important to set the printer driver from within Qimage so it is remembered by Qimage. That's the printer icon with the red flash, 3rd in from the right at the top of the main screen.
When you get a bit more familiar, we can help to explain how to save complete printer set set-ups printer settings, paper size & type, icc profile etc. for recall later.  :)

Thanks Terry for your prompt response - I assumed that would be the correct answer, but before wasting more paper and ink I wanted to double check.  I have discovered the recall option and have opened the few jobs I had printed before reading Mike's "Wide Load" article regarding large prints and borderless expansion.  By comparing my recalled settings with his notes I did find a few options that were set incorrectly - so I think I am ready to give it a whirl ........

#$@#!*!!  I just ran my print from Qimage and the color is great now, but the size is still off!!  What am I doing wrong?  I needed 18 x 24 and it comes out 18 x 22.25!!!  What is the problem??  Printing on 36" roll -page size is  user defined in printer driver at 36" x 19", centered on page in Qimage, custom size 18 x 24. 

If any body is out there please help me out, I really need to get this guy's print done.

 ;D  YAAAAAY!!!!!  I finally figured it out.  Sorry to have been so hysterical in my last post, I have been struggling with this all week long.  I found the link to the online user guide and figured out it was the cropping method I had selected.  Apparently my aspect ratio was off a bit and the crop method was checked to print the whole image instead of cropping to exact size.  Whew! It came out perfectly now.

A Tip:
You can check what size Qimage is going to print by looking at the queue data below the thumbnails, that tells you the size and whether borders are included. See a screen snap attached below.
You may need to click the panel title bar to open it.

Oh, that is good to know.  I don't see the screen shot you mentioned, but I will see if I can find the information tonight when I get home.
