I have a landscape panorama that I would like to print on 6 portrait-oriented photos. I have a photo frame with 6 portrait-oriented slots (excuse my crude representation): +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ +--+ I select portrait orientation, poster size, 6 rows x 1 column. However, Qimage insists on giving me a landscape oriented picture. My quick 'n dirty solution was to crop 6 pictures out of the panorama and print them separately. However I'd love to be able to do this from Qimage. Thanks for your help. It should be 24x6 Not specifically related to you initial query but you appear to have borderless set. This will not give you accurate matching of the poster elements; that may not matter for your 6-image frame where the images are separated. See my attached screen snaps where I simulated your situation. I was very careful to ensure the image (crop) was exactly in the 24x6 ratio. I have borderless set too. LT28 is the Preview on the main screen and LT27 is the Full Page Editor Size tab. I'm not sure why the FPE shows huge top & bottom borders but I don't think it'e relevant in this situation. I can't check this out with an actual print preview at present because my main PC is being repaired at present. Edit: make sure you do not have Info selected on the Job Properties. It shows the print preview of the extreme right hand 4x6 element of the poster. There is another way to do this, there often is with Qimage 8): Set a custom print size of 6x24 ins and add your image to the queue with the crop scissors on. Q will ask if you want to spread the image over a 6x1 poster, say Yes. I tried it both ways. Terry. Edit. The custom size method is by far the easiest method. If the image is not a panorama as such, the print cropping makes the crop placement very easy. If it is a pano image, the custom size method makes sure you get each poster segment filled with print. |
