Title: Printing a Pano on an Epson 4800 Post by: tbroadley on March 12, 2011, 03:01:23 PM First; newbie here :(
So I have a 15 x 81 pano print that I'm trying to print on my Epson 4800. I am running Win 7 with the latest Epson driver. Machine has 12 gigs of memory and is I7-920. The print shows up in the job queue at the correct size and in the preview pane is shown as 1 x 5. Roll paper, 16 x 20, portrait mode is selected in the printer driver I have read the "learning by example 6a", but here is what happens; no matter what I do I get 5 seperate prints on the printer. It does not eliminate the page break as shown in the example to provide a continuous print. I have set the size to custom. it shows as 15 x 81 which is correct it is not locked it is centered I have have turned off the advanced print options in the driver I'm obviously doing something wrong but I just can't figure it out and I no longer want to waste paper and ink trying different combo's of things that I think might fix it. So I thought I'd ask Thanks for any help Tim Title: Re: Printing a Pano on an Epson 4800 Post by: Fred A on March 12, 2011, 03:10:13 PM Quote I have set the size to custom. it shows as 15 x 81 which is correct it is not locked it is centered I have have turned off the advanced print options in the driver I'm obviously doing something wrong but I just can't figure it out and I no longer want to waste paper and ink trying different combo's of things that I think might fix it. Then set the paper size in User Defined to something a little larger than your print size. Perhaps, 16" wide x 82" long Select Custom size in Qimage and select your actual print size; 15" x 81" Crop scissors on in the print property size box. Now print. Let me know! I can make screen snaps. Fred Title: Re: Printing a Pano on an Epson 4800 Post by: Fred A on March 12, 2011, 03:19:07 PM Quote Let me know! I can make screen snaps. I think the poster option you are using is the way to go. Can you post screen shots of the printer driver? You seem to be getting a page eject. Have you turned the automatic cutter off? Do you get the border in the printer preview window? There is no reason why it shouldn't work, post the screenshots. You can also test your settings without printing the full pano. Crop your image to, say, 18" x 18" and set the printer page size to 16" x 9". If this works the full pano will work. Brian |
