Title: Printing Copyright Problems Post by: okiedokie on October 11, 2009, 04:29:15 AM I'm using Studio v2009.269 and an Epson 2200 printer. I'm printing 4x6 images on 4x6 paper with "borderless" selected in the printer driver and in Custom Job Properties, as well. I have created a 1.50 x 0.25 inch copyright. I've selected for the copyright to be printed in the lower right hand corner. When in the queue, 100% of the original image is visible in the preview. When viewed in the Full Page Editor using High Quality preview, the copyright appears as expected and once again, the entire image is visible. However, when I print, the copyright is not printed. There is some cropping taking place and the copyright is eliminated. Is there any way to adjust the copyright position, manually, so it is still in the lower right hand corner and prints as expected? Are there any suggestions, or instructions, on how I can get this to work. Thanks so much for any assistance!

Try going to Qimage, and click Page Formatting at the top, and select borderless spray expansion, and turn that off. You can also have a look in the print driver and see if there's a selection for NO, 1/4, 1/2 3/4 and FULL expansion for borderless prints. Some print drivers have that too. Thanks for your reply! I already have borderless spray expansion turned off. As per your other suggestion, I am now examining the possible custom settings in the printer driver. I'll post my results later. Thanks! One other possible solution is to modify your Copyright images. If your Copyright has a 100% transparent background so that only the text shows then you should be able to make the containing rectangle (text box) larger and space the text so it does not get cropped off by overspray. You could use text justification to, say, keep it top left for a copyright at bottom right on the image. It will take some trial and error to get it right :-\ However, turn on Print Preview in the driver and you'll see what will be printed without wasting paper. I must say that I'm surprised that with overspray/expansion turned off in Qimage, that the whole of the Copyright is not visible. Quote see if there's a selection for NO, 1/4, 1/2 3/4 and FULL expansion for borderless prints. I have this option in the driver of an R800 but it makes no difference when it's turned off in Qimage - it's then off completely.Terry Terry. |
