Qimage 269 - Drive Thrashing

QI has started to beat my HD to death, going into NOT RESPONDING for 2-3 min .. this happens when I print a single page, if I add 4 images then delete 1 it will go away for a while, If I hit automated job log, if I recall a printer setup, - lots of things throw it into 1 or 2 min of disk trashing and non-responsiveness.. using vista 64... never had any problem before - all other programs work fine. Thoughts?

Have you tried bringing up the task manager to see if Qimage is really the culprit?
Try the following while you are experiencing the problems:
- Right-click an empty part of the task bar and choose "Task Manager."
(Or press Ctrl-Shift-Esc.)
- Click on the Processes tab to bring up a detailed list of running processes.
- Note any excessive ones (20 or higher) in the cpu column.
Do you see anything other than Qimage with a high cpu number?

Is the printer connected over a network, or directly via USB?
You found no other items with high cpu figures in task manager? Rundll32.exe, or spoolsv.exe for example?
