I'm having difficulties printing a 10.5 x 7 image on letter
size paper in Qimage Pro. I set the print size in the Print
Properties box to 10.5 x 10.5, which should maintain the
proper aspect ratio for my Rebel XT file. The printed image
ends up being 10.685 x 8.00(cropped), which is the size
shown in the queue window. I have letter size selected in
my Canon i950 printer driver.
You want to print 10.5 x 7.0 on 8.5 x 11 paper.
Should be simple.
You must open CUSTOM in the print properties box, and select Specific Size, typing in the 10.5 x 7.0 and OK out of the box.
Now you have the print size set.
Add your image to the queue.
I don't understand what you wrote about setting the print properties box:
I set the print size in the Print
Properties box to 10.5 x 10.5, which should maintain the
proper aspect ratio for my Rebel XT file.
The aspect ratio of the Rebel image is 3:2.
That is the same as 10.5 x 7.0
All you really had to do is print any size print you want; 8 x 10, 5 x 7, 4 x 6, etc and leave the auto crop off.
The 3;2 image file will stay 3:2 in the print.
