I suddenly lost the ability to get the folder panel view. Thumbs are OK. There is no blue folder bar above the thumbs panel. No dragging of the thumb panel bar down occurs.

I have never had this problem. The only change to the system has been an installation to Firefox 12.1 of the plug-ins for IE9 Active-X compatibility. I am not aware of any Firefox modules being used by QImage,

I have maximized and shrunk Q with no improvements. It is excluded now from Norton Internet Security filtering regarding applications.

I have panels set to auto open. I don't think I missed anything in the view dropdown. I do not see any preference settings regarding the folder view. I tried different thumbs sizes.

Any suggestions?

Weird. It works on the usual reset preferences. I went to the same folder, shut down, and restarted it again and the folder bar reappeared. I can also now drag the top of the thumbs view vertically (and folder bar retention protection works).
