Title: tmp file location Post by: PopPicker on August 17, 2009, 02:40:16 AM I notice that during the processing, Qimage produces large tmp files which it places in C:\windows\temp folder, unfortunately my C drive (a partition) doesn't have much space available, is there a way of directing Qimage to save them to a different folder?

Are you sure of the path and folder, and do the temp files actually end in .tmp? Also might help if you would post your computer style, ram, hard drive specs, which windows, and is the OS updated. Then when Mike or another with a lot of knowledge of the innards of Windows sees the info, they have facts to work with. They're not very big though (around 250K). If you're that close on your drive that stores the Windows temp directory, I'd suggest freeing up some space or move your temp directory. You need ample space for Windows and its programs to process data.

The files produced are : DSP5F1.tmp 263,732kb I'm using WinXP SP2 When this PC was set up by the supplier (ironically to use ONYX PosterShop) the partition allocated to Windows on the C drive was only 5gb. I have asked on numerous forums over the years whether it was possible to increase that particular partition and I was faced with yes, but and maybe's, that pretty much involved using the CMD window so I gave up. However yesterday while waiting for a possible answer here, I found this http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm (http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm). And managed to increase the partition to 30gb so hopefully it won't be an issue anymore. Thankyou for comments people.
