I've added the ability to specify any size mirror edges for canvas mounting.

Just download with your usual Qimage username and password (the download password, not your unlock code).

Note this is a Studio Edition feature.  To do canvas mirror edges, make sure cropping (scissors icon) is on first, then:

(1) Select the size of your canvas as you normally would, not counting the wrap.

(2) Click on the color patch to the left of border 1 and select "Canvas Edge (Mirror)".

(3) In border 1's size, enter the size you want for the mirror edge (.5 inch, 1 inch, whatever).

(4) Make sure "B+" border is selected.

(5) Add an image to the queue.

The photo will show up at the size specified in (1).  A cross hatch pattern will show where the mirror edge will appear around the photo.  The actual mirror edge will print at print time.  The crosshatch pattern helps you frame things visually since it is often difficult to tell where the edge meets and the mirror starts.  If you want to give this a test run, you can measure out the size of something like a CD case (about 5.57 x 4.88 inches) and use that as your size.  I did that, using .5 inch as the mirror edge and it came out perfect and looked nice when I wrapped it around the edges of the CD case.  I just printed on plain paper so as not to waste canvas.  :)

I don't do canvas wraps, but just for fun, see attached. Not a good idea to have writing near the edge as in this one  ::)

Kinda cool.  If you put your copyright/signature near the edge of the print, that'll end up mirrored on the edges too.  Also a nifty effect.

Thanks Mike. much appreciated. Not so sure about the duplicated sig., though, I wouldn't want that, but anyway, the facility of printing a sig. on a canvas is not important, imho.

Just for fun I started off with a 2"x2" of this:

Then I set a 2" mirror wrap and printed to file, and repeated it with the new wrapped file, and ended up with this:

Now I don't know what to do with it - does anyone know where I can get 4-dimensional stretchers? :D

I, for one would buy your wallpaper if it came in Monarch.  ::) :P :o

I must stay focussed.  No more fancy effects please :-\  I'm spending too much time playing now, and I really need to get on with the serious stuff.

It does add a whole new dimension, so to speak, the fourth being time (to experiment)  :)

See attached. Created with an image with a square crop and a border width the same size. The resulting image was then cropped so the the upside down sections were removed.

I will not even begin talking to you about blurring the mirrored border image, and placing a sharp original on top, or doing a rotation and keep repeating, or other stuff with contrast etc.  Now we just need Mike to spend a few more minutes on doing the extruded borders, and we can anything we want, and many things we don't want  ::)
