v2009.263 rolls back the color management engine (lcms.dll) one version since the new version used in 2009.260, 261, and 262 caused errors on some systems.

Mike,
If I elect to keep v262  for now, and no problems occur, are there significant advantages/improvements with the later version of lcms.dll?

No.  The only change was "error checking" for bad ICC profiles... which apparently doesn't work.
