This weekend, I was the show photographer for a couple of dog show speciality shows.  I finished all of my win show shots last night for both days.  I shoot RAW and do corrections/adjustments with PhotoShop.  With QI, I can load images in the Q, walk away, and come back to consistently great photos.  I have used QI several years, but have barely scratched the surface as to what it can do.  I've learned enough to get what I need done.  Someday I hope to be a student of it, but for now it makes my photo printing, and life in general around this beloved hobby, consistently simplier with predictable results.

I have still not completed the PP leg of my journey, but I swear I think my results are better after just reading the PP directions and trying them over a period of several weeks.  At least I think those directions finally gave me better clues how to turn off my color management and let the "Q" lead the color direction.  No real point to this, just feeling very grateful for this key part of something I love to do.

Best to all,
Betty

You raise a good point.

We all use many different software programs.  How many of those programs truly make things better for us?  How often do we have the luxury of hitting the "go" button, walking away, and coming back later to collect the just-what-we-wanted output?

I could if necessary make do with a different browser, email program, spreadsheet program, word processor, photo editor, etc.  But I don't know what I'd do without Qimage.

Welcome to the fan club.

Harumph!
I love my Qimage so much that I send it a birthday card every year.

Yes, but like Qimage, we're getting better--right?

"Ve get too soon oldt and too late schmart."

Incidentally, being a hammer-headed Hollander, it's permissible for me to do that dialect joke.
