Mike, I appreciate the feedback.

17  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / When using "Print Unclog Pattern" on: July 21, 2017, 09:42:22 PM
Does this choice "Print Unclog Pattern" provide the versatility of selecting the type of Photo Paper (Glossy for example) so to use the Photo Black ink for printing the Unclog Pattern.
I just finished using this setting and the Black appears that it was printed using Matte Black ink --- NOT Photo Black

Likewise, if the above is correct, -- selecting Matte (or normal paper) would select to use the Matte Black ink for printing.

I am using Qimage Ultimate with PC and Epson R800 Printer which (of course) has provisions for selecting type of Black in based on type of paper selected

My comments are regarding the new offering of Plug-Ins for use with Photoshop and other software.  I have completed VERY limited review and am at a loss to recognize what benefit would these be for me. I use QI-U for ALL photo printing and rarely (almost never) print anything using Photoshop.  Elements is available for use but I never used it.

I attempted to watch the Video but seems I never get much from any of these due primarily to the extremely small screen area used for videos.
What would be the best way for me to (find out) for what use and benefits I could receive using the plugins.

I will admit:  QI-U is so near perfect and useful that I have difficulties in recognizing (identifying) what would make it even better.

Mike, You obviously applied some rather complex programming efforts to add the discussed feature.  I Have not used v120 yet but just finished DL  and installing it.
Thanks for all your efforts and dedication by keeping QI-U the best.

Fred, thanks for the feedback.  I do check into the QI-U Forum fairly frequently but primarily to check (the top posts by the "Admin")  primarily to be aware of latest changes and additions to QI-U.
I choose to (selectively) read various posts by others somewhat less frequently.

Hopefully, it is not necessary to read ALL posts in order to be aware of latest changes and additions.  This could be compared to having to read an entire News Paper just to be aware of the Headlines.

There was no (at top) post by the ADMIN regarding v118 indicating the ON/OFF switch had been added (in v118) --so--that is the reason I originally entered my post about the need for this change.

Thanks again for your help and dedication to helping others with QI-U.

Fred, the details regarding "updating to the latest version" is of course normal.  However, (in my opinion) it would be helpful if more specific information was provided of what changes and additions that are included in each new available version.  This would serve to inform ALL users of what is in each updated version as they become available -- instead of either guessing, hunting for changes and additions, or continuing to not know what is in a new version.

Certainly, some of the above mentioned items are identified in the post regarding a version (such as Ruler), etc, but I did not see any mention of the feature that my original post was regarding.

Specifically -- what version was the function added.

It was not in 114 and was in 119.  It was perhaps included with the mentioned changes/additions to UI but this is not adequate to know of specific details (for a new version) and unless (Needed -- in my case) otherwise I would perhaps never know of the added function. Many Other QI-U users may never know.

Thanks Fred.  Evidently this setting was recently added since I was using my last DL (v2017-114) and it was not in that version.  So, I DL the current 119 version and it is there for use.

Thanks for your help.  I definitely was not able to find what was needed in v114.
My Regards, Vernon....

Is there a method (or an option) to NOT have to use the screen that immediately displays after clicking Properties (Print quality and color management settings must be made manually in your printer driver).

I don't either want (or need) this screen for my usage of (QI-U) Qimage Ultimate.  This apparently was added just to remind limited experienced users of QI-U to make those settings.  This is just a waste of time for experienced users.  If not already available, Perhaps this screen could be set to use (or not to use) as an option.

Fred, I noticed (of course) you have attached screen shot images with some of your Posts.  I have been looking for clues of how to do this in these forum but have not found how.
If (and when) you have time to explain this to me, it would be very helpful.

If I had known this prior to entering my request it would have made my inquiry more direct to the point.

------------------
You guys get free upgrades all year for your 19.95 dues. Why aren't you current? --- See Below---
I know some complain that there's too much to relearn when I upgrade... not if you stay current.
-----------------
Fred, obviously the two of us have different opinons regarding when to update to a latest version.
Based on your comments, you update very frequent (perhaps weekly) as you mentioned is the normal frequency for a Version change.
My update (to latest Version) is based on the following:  (1) I need a feature (or function) that is not in my currently used Version.  (2)  I am experiencing a problem with my current version.  (3)  I have the time to update to latest version -- even though the current used version is functioning (without issues).  It is rather easy to view the list of added functions by version, however;  I rarely take the time to do this.
I realize (thankfully) that Mike and His Staff have always been completely devoted to Qimage support (of the various Titles) but cosidering the "Track Record" of the weekly versions, many of these have little to no effect on many Qimage users.  I plan to continue my above stated conditions for when I will update to the latest Version.
Enough said.....
Neither Mike or You commented regarding my inquiry for reference information to help me to become better acquainted with the Qimage Forum.

My Regards, Vernon....
