16  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Spacing of multiple images on one sheet... on: December 08, 2018, 04:24:31 PM
I'm printing three 4x6 images on one 8.5 x 11 sheet. (Canon PRO-1000)

Under the Prints tab, I've chosen 4.00 x 6.00.

Under the Printers and Settings tab > Media size, I've chosen Letter 8.5 x 11.

How do I get at least a little spacing between the two parallel images to make trimming easier? When I print the page with the three images, there is still 1/4" at the paper edges so is there a way to nudge one or both images a little to create space between them?

I have tried all the print placement options but I don't see any choice that does what I want.
17  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Sharpening in Photoshop AND Qimage? on: September 13, 2018, 02:02:09 AM
Thank you, Mike. That makes sense to me. One more question, please:

I watched the video on DFS http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=AiVoXcB1uzk&vq=hd1080 and in the video the sharpening had radius and percentage controls. Does QU not have those anymore? I couldn't find them.

(Note: Edit > Preferences > Printing Options > Interpolation > Help - the Information dialog refers to Sharpening types "Smart" and "Normal" whereas the actual interface labels are "Smart" and "Static")
18  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Sharpening in Photoshop AND Qimage? on: September 13, 2018, 12:54:20 AM
I use Photoshop CC, Qimage Ultimate, and a Canon PRO-1000.

If I use sharpening in Photoshop, is there any benefit to also using the sharpening in Qimage?
19  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Practical way to manage unclog job scheduling? on: August 21, 2018, 03:47:02 AM
I use Qimage Ultimate with my Canon PRO 1000. I have the unclog job scheduled for every 48 hours to avoid the 60-hour cleaning cycle. I turn the scheduler off when I'm going to be printing.

Given that I may use the printer daily for several days then not use it for several days, what is a practical habit to get into regarding turning the scheduler on and off without having to go into the Print Unclog Job Schedule dialog and change the date/time?

(If that question is not clear, here is an example:)

Let's say I used the printer yesterday and I might use it today. Then I find I am not going to use it today after all.

So I turn the scheduler on, but the unclog job isn't scheduled to run until after a 60-hour lapse in actual printing.

Then it appears I have to adjust the Date/time of first unclog cycle to make sure an unclog job runs before the 60 hours is up.
