I installed FP, set my options to how I wanted the files named, and where to place them.
Insert my CFII card into my desktop computer slot where I usually offload pics, and FP does not recognize that I have a CF card.
Says "nothing to do, please insert a flash card or manually select source location"
I selected the source and still nothing?Huh?

Open Edit and settings and make sure there is a check mark in the Drive Letter that corresponds to the Compact Flash card reader's slot.
Make sure that drive letter exists in the drive letter box in Settings.

I already checked that before I posted the help question.
Thanks for answering.

 Huh?

This is a repeat of what I posted in the "can't find camera" thread:

In literally every case where FlashPipe doesn't see media, it means that media is not showing up as the proper drive or drive type on your system.  That's a system problem and not a FlashPipe issue.  The following are the criteria used by FlashPipe to detect a drive:

(1) Drive must be tagged as a removable media drive by the system.
(2) Windows must return "true" when asked if there is media currently in the drive.
(3) The drive must have a subfolder named DCIM, IMAGES, IMOLYM, or PRIVATE directly off the root.

If FlashPipe doesn't open automatically when you insert a flash card, one of the above three rules has been broken.  All of the above three items should be true when inserting a flash card with photos or videos.

Every one of the criteria you mentioned is what I have.
My flash card has worked in every computer (4) and every card reader (2) and other software that I own (3 )- Nikon Transfer, ACdsee, Corel)
I have a feeling I'm not the only one with this problem  Sad

You're not the only one with the problem but it is absolutely not a FlashPipe problem!  And I can guarantee that if FlashPipe doesn't show your card, one of the above three criteria is not being met.  I even talked to one person who had the same problem with a SmartMedia card and he then cleaned the contacts on the card with an eraser and it started working: seems the card wasn't making full contact and all the criteria were being met except the one that says "is there media in the drive".  Sounds crazy but it was true: Explorer and other tools don't care whether there is media in the drive or not: if you click on the drive it forces a read.  FlashPipe won't do that.  It has to be working properly.

Looks like FP doesnt' recognize cards that are inserted into the computer. It only recognizes cards that are inserted into a card reader.
It should do both, not everyone has a card reader for a computer that has a built in card insert

Dont like how it names files.
It named them  Bucks_2009-09-26   and gave no numbering for the first file, the second file offloaded was named Bucks_2009-09-26(0001)
I dont need the ( )  and dont need 4 digit numbers. Nikon Transfer allows me to choose how many numbers, I choose 3  001, 002 etc since I never take more than 999 photos in one day.

Is there an option I am missing someplace in the settings?

If you name every file Bucks_2009-09-26, there will be no duplicates until after it names the first file.  The (0001) is a duplicate file naming convention to prevent file overwrites: it isn't part of the auto rename process.  There are many ways to handle what you are doing.  How about naming your subfolder Bucks_2009-09-26 and then use "Set 1" for the auto renaming option?  Or, in the renaming options, use Bucks_2009-09-26-?# so that the numeric part of the original file name is added after the "Bucks_2009-09-26" part of the name?  Many ways to do this one.  Not sure which you prefer.

In Settings and rename options, there are two dots; one with parentheses, and the other no parentheses

You will get RAW and if you turn on DEVELOP in the EDIT Settings, you will get fully developed, full size JPGS also.
If you need TIFF, you can go to Qimage and convert either the raw or the JPG to tif

I'm trying to uninstall the demo of Flashpipe and there is no option to do so, nor does it show up under Start menu, Customize on the list to de-install.

Do I have to go through Regedit to de-install?  I really shouldn't have to use Regedit for de-installs

Certainly not.
Flashpipe shows up in the Add and remove programs list in the control panel.

As a matter of fact, just to be absolutely ceryain, I uninstalled my paid Flashpipe, cleared everything, and then downloaded and installed the demo.
Then I went to Control Panel, Programs and features, located Flashpipe, and uninstalled.
