16  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: PDF printing addition maybe? on: January 14, 2014, 07:45:30 PM

So PDF printing may be a nice addition to QI rather than opening the images in Photoshop and converting them to something QI might see and use.

Mack

Hi

would it not work if you installed something like CutePDF and after opening the image in QU you sent it to the printer and chose CutePDF as the printer,
which would produce the image as a PDF?

Cheers

Daniel

Hi Fred

I figure it like this, the data has to come from the HDD, be processed then back to the HDD then onto the printer, so any
HDD interface would speed things up, possibly not perceptibly!

Happy New Year to you Fred.

Hi

is it worth mentioning Edit/Preferences/Hyper Processing/Hyper Printing/On-Quad Core Printing? The same with Hyper Thumbing?

I cannot remember if that is on by default?

Either way, I would have thought an SSD would be faster?

Cheers

That's our Mike, since I first purchased Profile Prism way too many years ago, then Qimage so
I could manage the profiles properly, it's been the same, Mike steps up and does the necessary.

Thanks from me too Mike.

Hi

I stopped using PSCS a long time ago, QU and it's predecessors were all I needed to do anything regarding
image quality or colour etc and did it so much better.

I do not even have PSCS installed anymore.

I have QU installed on my PC in my study, on my PC in the family room and on my Laptop for travel, but
as advised I only run one instance at a time.

Terry

Thanks for your excellent "how to" on DFS.

Things are looking better already, the value of this program and the technical support is
immeasurable.

Where/how do you apply DFS, I do not see it in the Printing Interpolation options.

Thanks

24  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: pre-purchase question: Qimage and Lightroom? on: November 25, 2011, 06:21:50 PM
Hi

I know nothing about inter grating Lightroom with QU but I do know that once you have QU
you will use other editors less and less, I almost never open PSCS anymore, unless I want to
do radical changes like removing people or backgrounds, and perhaps QU can do this,
I have not completed my discovery of QU talents.

QU is an amazing tool.

25  Mike's Software / Profile Prism / Re: Some questions about printer profiling. on: August 10, 2011, 06:16:44 PM
"@Terry-M: No I don't have Qimage, but I will download the trial and compare the profile results."

Qimage and Qimage Ultimate work extremely well with PP but also have so much more to offer for
image modification, colour (the most accurate available IMHO), density, sharpening, cleaning etc, I use PSCS almost never, (only when I
need to remove and replace backgrounds or similar).

Hi Terry and Fred,

Thanks for your excellent help, I have been away and got back to
this, problem solved thanks. I did not see the crop button there, I guess I
have been using it in default position all along.

Thanks again

Hi

Can someone please post a picture showing where the Crop Button (Scissors) is in QU.

Thanks

"I think this is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship!"

Hi all,
Fred may be on  NCC1701 but I am on CLOUD 9  Cheesy
Having just set up my Epson 7900 recently at my custom framing business, to offer canvas wraps and art paper printing to my customers, (and myself of course),I could not be happier that I did my homework and purchased Qimage!
I have been learning Adobe CS5 for editing,Qimage for printing,an Intuos tablet, and the printer all at once,a daunting task.  Shocked
I printed some large canvas wraps today from some very borderline smallish (1/2 mb files) and Qimage pulled them through with flying colors!

Thank you for all you do!

Qimage ROCKS!

David

You should also try Qimage Ult photo modification abilities, I no longer use CS4, although I keep upgrading it in case I need to replace a head or something....

Additional comment. Just wanted to say, that shot is another example of your talent.
