2  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Print Preview not correct on: March 30, 2023, 01:30:52 PM
Hi. I have been experiencing an odity for some time and wonder if anyone can help. As you can see from the image I have created below, I show two screens. The top one is pre printing. I have four 10x8" prints on an A2 sheet. So far so good. But when I hit print and get the print preview screen, the little thumbnail top left shows what I expect, the four images on the paper. But the large image in the middle, as you can see shows the images too large and not all fitting on the paper. It still prints correctly but why is the preview incorrect?
3  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / AutoSort on: October 02, 2020, 12:21:48 PM
Hi. I have just been watching the Tutorial about Uneven Borders, and I notice a use of a little box under the large image pane that is called 'AutoSort', and it can be checked or unchecked. I am using Ultimate on a PC but don't seem to have this switch. Is it somewhere else? Auto Sort sounds interesting. Jules

Of course. Thanks again Fred.
6  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate Wish List / Re: Multiple selection of images in Full Page Editor on: November 04, 2019, 01:49:29 PM
Thans for the reply Fred. yes I can pick multple image in the normal view mode, but not in the Page Editor where I have more control over resizing. I just had some images that neede to be sized at 5.72". This is difficult to achieve by draging corners. Although i agree, if you alre4ady have a page size set in the Prints list i could do multiple from that.
While I'm here... Smiley Also in Full Page Editor, I often need to Push an Image to the previous page. There is a Push to Next page, but I can't see one to Previous.

It would be nice to be able to do this. Two examples being that you have diferent sized pictures on a large page and want to pick multiple square images (of differnt square sizes) and make them all the same size. The other being when you want to move a gropup of prints, but not all, from one place on the page to another.

Or you could open the page editor (Edit Page button under the Live View), then right click on the 7th print and choose "Push to next page".

Regards,
Mike

I sometimes end up with an image on, say, P2 that could have fitted on P1, especially when doing test prints. Is there a "Push to previous page." ?

What Fred said.  Wink  I'll only add that in your case, you should probably try Crop Marks (which extend outward from each corner) and Mark Corners (which bracket each corner against each print).  Not sure which you'd prefer.

Regards,
Mike

I use these quite frequently. The only trouble is that when you make your first cut, you cut of the guides for the next (two) cuts. I don't think there is any way around this without having the guides on the cut print. I manage it by extending the mark in towards the print by a mm or two with a scalpel. So when I cut off the first edge, I can then see where to cut the next two from.

11  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Canceling Print Queue on: October 26, 2019, 07:51:35 AM
Thanks Mike. I will download 102 and give it a try. There is another associated problem I have, but it is not an Image fault. I have Googled it and others say it is a Windows bug. That is when an Epson Status Monitor window appears on the screen when printing from Q, it is impossible to get rid it of by clicking on Close or the red 'X' top right button. The only way is to press CTRL/Alt Delete and go into Task Manager and kill it there. If I could have a £ for each time I have done that, I would be a rich(er) man! :-)

Thanks for replying Fred. I hope you are well after the nasty weather you have experienced recently.
Your method seems fine. But I am surprised this isn't incorporated into Qimage. I seem to need it quite often. eg I start to print a 20x16" print  that will have white around it and not have a mount. Then as it starts I suddenly realise that I have Print Info, File+Extension still set to On as my rpevious test prinst used it. Or I put an A4 in my printer instead of an A2. Or perhaps I'm just printing the wrong version of a file. The paper I use is expensive as is the ink. :-(

As for the personal print sizes. As usual you have cracked my problem. R/Click on a size.
Life saver, thanks again Fred

13  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Canceling Print Queue on: October 22, 2019, 12:20:14 PM
Hopefully an easily answered question, but one I have never found. How do I cancel a print Queue from inside Qimage Ultimate. I always go out to Windows devices and cancel it from there. But surely there is a way to do it in QU. TIAdvance.
Another question. I have just updated my PC to a new one running W10 (I was on W7 previously). I seem to have lost my personal print sizes that I consistently use. There are only a handful, but I don't seem to be able to add them to the Prints List. I go to Prints/Custom, fill in Specific Size, click on Permanent and then Click OK. But it does not appear in the Print list as a new size. Where am I going wrong. It used to work on my W7 machine.

14  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate / Re: Huge problems Starting QU on: November 22, 2017, 04:36:45 PM
Oh dear, it's me again. Having thought that my problems were behind me, I find they are not. I was ok for a bit and then the trouble started again. When I try to ope Qimage i get the greetings screen in the middle of my monitor, which just stays there, but as soon as click on it, it disappears. I have tried opening in Normal and Safe mode. I have tried opening and holding the Shift key. In properties/Compatability, the compatabilty mode is ticked and Windows 7 chosen although this is greyed out. I can get to change this if I choose Change Setting For All Users. All the Settings below that option are not checked.
What am i doing wrong?  Angry
I have just noticed that when trying to open Q I see a message that it doidn't close down last time due to
Prior exitt code 11c
Is that any help?

15  Mike's Software / Qimage Ultimate Wish List / Overlapping Images Wont Sort on: October 27, 2017, 11:21:00 AM
Please. please, can you make this happen Mike. I just loaded about fifteen images of all different sizes onto about four pages of A2. then I must have hit the wrong key and they all ended up jumbled on the same page on top of each other. Now Sort, should sort this out, but it doesn't like images overlapping! Why is this. So often i have had this problem and it is just impossible to drag them into separate positions because there is not room to do that on a particular page. please can Sort be made to work with overlapping images, and un-overlap them? It would be so good>
