I'm not sure how to interpret that question because when you talk about deleting images, technically that means you want to delete actual images from your disk drive(s) - in the thumbnails.  Or, you could mean remove all the prints from the live view/job.  If you just want to clear the job, right click on the live view and select "Remove All".

The #1 culprit for this is a monitor that is set too bright.  Calibration doesn't address that.  The best thing to do is to print a standard test image on standard paper.  I don't see any metallic glossy papers listed in the P900 driver and a lot can happen when using/adding new media types so it is best to start with a standard test on a common paper like standard Epson Glossy.  See if you have the same problem with that.  If so, it's likely your monitor is too bright which is causing you to edit or accept photos too dark (which is how they print).

I am trying to print from LightRoom via the QImage plugin on an Epson Metallic Glossy paper. Printer is SC-P900, epson inks.
The prints come out way too dark.
The monitor is calibrated. Paper type selected in QImage.
Anyone had similar problems? Any likely culprit. What should I try and change?

Maybe the driver AI is trying to save you from a mistake (color management conflict in Qimage settings vs driver).  I can't see your settings so I can't really say.  Can you post a screenshot of your Printers and Settings tab so I can see the media type, media size, printer profile, etc.?

Using a Canon ImageGraf Pro 4600
I save printer settings for different papers, etc.
I set Color Settings - Matching to 'Off'

However, when I recall printer settings, the color settings - matching has changed to 'driver matching' with a 'perceptual' rendering intent.

Why does the color settings-matching value not retain the saved value of 'off'?

From a software standpoint, about all you can do is try both EMF and raw spool format in Edit, Preferences, Printing Options in Qimage or in the printer settings in Windows.  Given that it's a driver issue and the printer is 25 years old, you may need to search for help on some enthusiast Designjet forums.  Someone else may have researched it and come up with a setting, connection method, etc.

I got it working, but it will only print images around 10 inches in either length or width. If I try to set the image bigger, the print stops at some point and not complete the print, or will leave a unprinted section in the image.

I've tried setting my paper to roll, but that doesn't do anything and I still have to manually enter a length paper which when the image stops printing it will roll out that length I enter and cut it off (I've wasted a bunch of paper) any tip on setting this up properly??

You can create a layout to do that.  Set your print placement to Freehand and add your 5x7 background to the page.  Then scroll to the bottom of the thumbnails and add a 4x6 of the "Template" thumbnail and drag that on top of your 5x7 background image.  Once you've done that and have things aligned the way you want, you can drop down the image placement and select "Save Current as Custom Layout" and give it a name.

Then whenever you open that layout (via that same print placement dropdown under the live view) and select "Load Layout" and choose that one, it'll be your 5x7 background with a 4x6 placeholder on top.  As you add thumbnails to print (via the + button on thumbnails), they fill the red templates/placeholders on top of the 5x7 background image.

I have a photo business.  I have a background image that is 5x7 in both portrait and landscape.  I want to place a nearly centered 4x6 on to the applicable background.  This will happen in batches of 50-100 images at a time, so being able to do it over and over again without too many steps is important. I have figured out how to place an image on top of another, but then have to manually center it each time.  
Any help would be greatly appreciated
