Hi, please accept my apologies if this issue is resolved in another post. I did a search here and found numerous other reports of partial printing, but no definitive solutions or explanations.

I got a used Epson Stylus Pro 11880 last week, and immediately downloaded a trial of Qimage Ultimate because of Qimage's reputation for excellent photo prints. Unfortunately, every job I print with Qimage is cut off with a hard line about 18 inches from the right edge of the 60" roll, as though it thinks it's printing to a smaller size paper and cropping automatically. I've checked and re-checked all the print and driver settings, and everything in Qimage and the Epson print preview shows that it should be printing the full width of the roll. I printed a full roll-width image with no problem from my another laptop running Linux, so it isn't the printer itself.

My windows 7 laptop with Qimage is connected to the printer directly via USB. I've configured the settings as instructed and tried re-installing the driver several times, and I've tried the tips suggested in other posts about similar issues with partial prints in Qimage. Every job prints only the right 18 inches. Interestingly, the edge where the image cuts off is a hard line like it's supposed to be cropped there.

I was planning to buy Qimage after checking out the trial version, but now I'm questioning that idea. The DDI web site makes it seem like this forum is the only product support available for the software after purchase, which seems odd for an application that so many people use. It's tougher to justify buying a Windows-only program (I mostly use Mac and Ubuntu) if I can't get the trial version to print correctly. Ink for the 11880 is too $$$ to waste on failed prints, and using only 18" of a 60" roll isn't very economical either.

Just to clarify - are you saying that the Epson print preview is showing the image properly placed on the page, but that then if you click print, it is displaced when it actually prints?

That is correct. Both Qimage and the Epson print preview show the image properly, but the actual print cuts off everything but the right 18".

Couple of things - first, if the placement is showing up properly in the Epson preview, Qimage is no longer involved at that point - something is going wrong between the preview and the print.

Secondly - you will find that this forum is a great place to resolve problems and even get program modifications when needed; I am aware of no other software that provides the level of support that you will find here.

If this issue continues unresolved, please re-post it in the Qimage Ultimate forum.

Many thanks, I will try the Qimage forum.
