So even if we delete the folder, wen you install a new version, there will be a new folder.

Hi Alan,
The proper way to clean out the Export folder is UTILITIES  EXPLORE EXPORT FOLDER, and delete what you wish.

This is easy but many faceted.
1) Just hover the mouse pointer over the thumb file name as long as it is red or purple, and you will see the filters in use.
1a) You can also right click the thumbnail and select Remove Filters and you can then selectively choose to remove all or one.

The Predefined filters are essentially the same except that some simple ones are premade for you, and/or you can make your own, and save it to be used as a  filter you like.
For example, I like to use a FADE OVAL cutout a lot to cover background clutter. In the Editor, I selected my fade oval and using FILE menu, saved it as a predefined filter with a name.
The neat part is that I can right click on any thumbnail image, select PRE DEFINED FILTERs and apply it from there.

2) Global filters:  Tricky.   It will be applied as a single filter as you print, but any other filters you associated  with that image will be ignored.
Use sparingly as the help file advises.

Two easy methods come to mind..
One is to reinstall QU and this time, pay attention to the options of where you want QU to default to saving.

It will likely remember that you changed it, so pay attention and set it to the default:::: There are two defaults for two parts.
Attachment screen snap 120 shows where Qimage wants its opening files to be.
Snap 121 is where you can tell QU that you have a special location chosen to save the files.
The default is shown in 121.
The other method is to click Utilities in QU and select MIGRATE..... you will get snap 119. Follow through on that.

Dont worry about previous threads, answering is the imporftant part with a solution hopefully.
You can use crappy copy paper for the print We are only telling the Unclogger, that we have glossy so to ake sure it will use the glossy black ink, if it had two blacks. Same goes for making a second profile to print using matte paper....... so it will use MK blick.
As for you often, you determine that by how long the printer is idle and does it need an UNCLOG yet?

Do you have a W7?   I would simply try a profile that comes free with the printer driver and match to the paper.

Hard to tell what to blame, but you obviously have a grasp of the situation.
Are we talking about camera profiles or printer profiles?
I suspect printer profiles.
Every so often there is a color management upgrade included in Qimage. If memory serves, it is a .dll file like LCMS.dll.
As you stated, Windows 10 updates have messed me up a good number of times too.So my guess, either your profiles are off due to color management upgrades, or they became corrupted during a W 10 update,but Adobe RGB is OK, sort of points to the profiles that you made.
All printers I know of now offer profiles free. Match the paper, and test it.

Don't know your fille location setup, but one thing for sure, that sharpening adjustment  is saved in a file with the same name as the image, but with an /flt suffix.
It  is saved with the image file in the same folder so it is found and opened when image is called.
Your error message usually indicates that there is no access to where you told QU to save. Look for a Hard drive not turned on... like that

YOUR SETUPS...  Driver settings for the paper?Huh?
Try to make  a print after manually setting  the driver for your usual: Color management OFF,  Quality *best* Paper selection is manually set correctly.
(It is not unheard of that some SAVED setting in 'jobs" to become corrupted, Thn make sure then printer profile is correct and up to date. If this fixes, just SAVE.
Have you tried a different paper? Possible Red River changed the coating and now offers a new profile
Also, if memory serves me, the 3800 has a B&W selector on its front. See if those are green too>

Try some of this.

Your point is well taken, but as you say, you want to perform some special action, there are just too many varying special actions to cover in a video, not knowing what might pop up tomorrow.
So Qimage handles it in a very smooth and rapid manner.
You present your thoughts here, in the appropriate category, someone will have a some help  for you almost instantly.
PLUS, you have the benefit of the author of the program, and the help desk right here too. Mike Chaney, monitors the forum as well as emails to him for help.

Hi Carl.
Seems from the information supplied that we should have an easy fix.
Open Qimage. Click the PRINTS tab upper right. At almost the bottom of that screen, you see a bluish scissors. That is AUTO CROP.
Click it to OFF.
Now your image will be shown in its original aspect ratio set to whatever size you choose.

Now, you might not get 12 x 16 unless your image is a 4:3 ratio. That is why auto crop was on.
**** Alternative method. Put crop scissors back on, and go into PAGE EDITOR.
Top right, click on Crop tab.  In that small window, you will see a red line where Qimage had to crop to make the 12 x 16
Your mouse pointer becomes a hand, and drag that image away from the red line until it is gone.
Adjust to your taste and need.
See screen snaps
.In 113 the left side of flower is missing.
114 you are on Page Editor and see the red line.
116 results!!

I had one of those i960s. Burned out the head all the time.
Back to the question...... the only thing left would be if you had purchased a rip for the printer, which you likely would remember. They are very expensive.

Ron, I have and use my Pro 100 all the time for years. I have it as my primary printer with a driver version  of 286.2.40. That came off my install DVD in 2016. Plus I have verified Printer profiles made for my 100 at that date.
Mike has the same printer. I have never seen a driver change.
