Hello Mike,

With the border tools already available in QU it should not be that difficult to add a feature where a simulation of a framed print can be made. The new crop tool that is available from the print page preview window already shows the guide lines of a crop resulting from size and border choices + the auto crop and can be activated to a real crop.  I like the way Frame Explorer is implanted in Picture Window Pro. That program no longer requires a license, so it is free but no longer developed. The resulting image crop in that simulation is not brought back to the original, it shows guidelines in the original when the simulation is made but not after that step. For QU it would also be nice to get the data for mat sizes etc from that simulation.

This feature would be fine. And maybe a similar implementation as in the Passepartout calculator, similar to this online passepartout calculator.:

Too bad it is not in English as well.

There used to be a program called Matworks from a French author that was great, but I have not been able to get it to work in Windows 10.

I remember that program but did not like it that much so I designed my own Excel spread sheet to do calculate the size of a mount. I use it a lot for preparing mounted prints for competition.
See attached screen shot of one example. The yellow cells are where dimensions are entered; the green ones are the calculated values.
